Sen. Russ Feingold published an article this week on Counterpunch discussing the Bush Administration’s use of “secret law.” C-Span junkie that I am, I’m watching Feingold’s Wednesday hearing on these matters right now. I don’t blog about these matters often, largely because there is a lot of heavy legal analysis involved. But there should be no doubt, of course, that these questions of abuses of power by the executive branch have far-reaching implications, now and long into the future of democracy.
Correction: The ‘article’ is actually Sen. Feingold’s prepared remarks delivered at the Senate Judiciary Committee, Constitution Subcommittee hearing on “Secret Law and the Threat to Democratic and Accountable Government.”
